This tune was originally recorded as “Georgia Grind” by Roy Palmer and the State Street Ramblers in 1931. Problem was, there were three other tunes named “Georgia Grind” out there, and people began referring to this one as “Palmer’s Georgia Grind” to avoid confusion.
